| Description: |
In 2003, the City of Cleburne retained Counsilman-Hunsaker, in association with Brinkley Sargent Architects, to research aquatic recreation options and provide information that will help the City determine the feasibility of replacing the existing outdoor pool with a new outdoor aquatic center.
The purpose of the Study was to offer a preparatory, comprehensive analysis including cost and operation considerations of the new facility. Information and data was collected through research and extensive discussions and interviews with the 4B Board, council members, and a town hall meeting with community residents. There were also site visits and a tour of the community.
The Study concluded, based of the goals and objectives of the community and community and board members, to develop an aquatics facility featuring two outdoor swimming pools including:
• 4,574 SF eight-lane 25-yard competition pool • 7,410 SF leisure pool • Zero-beach entry • Current channel • Waterslide • Spray pad
