Counsilman-Hunsaker, in association with Lyman Davidson Dooley, designed the cutting-edge Pirate’s Cove Aquatic Center in Englewood, CO. The outdoor waterpark was designed for a variety of age groups to provide attractions that everyone could enjoy. The facility features an array of amenities including:

• 243-foot-long closed-flume slide with a spiraled descent • 298-foot-long open-flume slide with gentle curves for a slower descent • 120-foot-long closed-flume, curve-free slide
Pirate’s Cove offers 6,567 SF of additional leisure and play areas such as:
• 750 gallon slow-filling dump bucket • Zero-depth entry • 820 SF sprayground • Several play forts and two small slides • Lazy river that weaves around the park • 1,135 SF vortex
Pirate’s Cove also houses a six-lane, 25-meter competition pool with drop slide and diving board. The separate pool provides space for fitness and training.
