| Description: |
In 2001, The City of Keller retained Brinkley Sargent Architects, in association with Counsilman-Hunsaker, to perform a Feasibility Study for the development of a new recreation center to support the City’s competitive, recreational, and fitness needs and objectives. Four design concepts were developed, each with varying degrees of emphasis on aquatic and recreational program spaces.
Through the consulting team’s efforts, the City chose to build a new indoor/outdoor recreation center. The community center houses a 6,490 sq. ft. indoor leisure pool which includes a waterslide, 200 sq. ft. whirlpool spa, fitness lap lanes, and play feature for children.
Amenities of the outdoor waterpark include:
· Waterside · Lazy river · Sprayground · Vortex · Interactive play features
This facility has been featured in the some of the industry’s most prestige magazines:
2007 - Featured project in Parks and Rec Business magazine 2006 - ‘Architectural Showcase’ Athletic Business magazine 2005 - ‘Innovative Architecture Design’ award in Recreation Management magazine
